Lovely, well-kept forest home
Chris K., Camas, WA United States
Very enjoyable house in a great location. We wanted a place to stay that would accommodate a family of 2 parents & 2 kids plus sister-in-law and nephew, and the layout of the house was great for this - it allowed sufficient privacy since the downstairs bed/bath are in a private corner of the house with the rest of the rooms upstairs. Parking for 2 cars was easy, the driveway could have probably accommodated another two. We were worried about dog smell as we've experienced that in past homes, but there was nothing of the sort.
My only concerns with the home were an off smell in the 2-bunk bedroom upstairs, and it seemed the sheets and towels were jammed too tightly in the washer so they didn't get fully cleaned - there were some make-up stains and lint that should have come off. There were also some signs of water entry in the upstairs queen bedroom and around the window to the left of the fireplace, though that didn't actually cause us any problems.
Back to the positives - the location steps away from the Sandy river was great, the kitchen had way more silverware, glasses, spices etc., than we could have used, and there was ample firewood to stave off the cold for our 3-night stay. There were also some fun gems hidden in the upstairs reading room, like a 1951 copy of Life magazine, so it's worth having a look around. Finally, even though the furniture is not the most modern spiffy stuff from the Pearl District, it was all very well kept and comfy.
Great house for a weekend get away from the city
Lillie Mae S., Portland, OR United States
We had a great time staying at Glacier Court Resort. The house was perfect for everyone in our group of 3 couples and a 3-year-old to have space to hang out and space to be alone. Thank you for the great stay!

4/5
Layne W., Oregon City, OR United States
The home was wonderful. Very beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed. My only criticism is that during our stay, we ran out of firewood and we’re unable to connect to the WiFi, because the wrong WiFi password was proved to us. When we attempted to contact the office about these issues, we never received a call back, until the end of our stay. However, we were not contacted by the office about our request for a WiFi password and more wood for our fireplace, but rather the frustration of the neighbors about the amount of cars in our drive way, and an investigation of how many people we had staying with us. I found this to be incredibly inappropriate, and very poor customer service. We did not breach the terms of our reservation, and we only occupied the space that we paid for. Customer service, prior to finalizing the reservation was fantastic. This was only a unfortunate experience from this property manager.
Manager's Response
Hello Layne,
I apologize for the negative experience with your stay. We do provide enough firewood for the first night of the stay as stated in the signed documents. We do have an after hours number that is available 24/7 and is listed on our website, in the guest book in the home, on the check in information, on our front door of our office, as well as in our recorded voicemail when calling our office. That number is provided for these situations to help our guests after hours when our office is closed. We did receive a call from neighbors regarding excessive cars. At that point we do have to contact our guests for peace of mind for the neighbors as well as safety of our guests and homes. There were additional guests that were not listed in the original reservation. We ask for the correct guest count for safety reasons, in case an evacuation of any kind is necessary. We did, however, let the neighbors know you and your guests were following procedures regarding parking. We hope you allow us the opportunity to show how much we care about our guests and to take advantage of our valuable repeat customer discount!
Can’t wait to return

Fantastic home! Plenty of space to gather or get time away in your own space. Lovel fireplace, quiet setting and beautiful surroundings. Loved taking snow hikes on the trails we kept discovering. Definitely coming back next year. There were some simple things we needed taken care of during our stay (four lights either had no bulb or needed new bulbs and we were short a couple sets of towels and a corkscrew) but the property management company was immediately responsive. Wifi came and went so sadly it is not a place I can rent and work remotely from.
Christmas in the Woods
Bobbie R., Canby, OR United States
We booked Glacier Court Resort for Christmas. 4 adults and 2 dogs. We were thrilled to see the cabin was decorated for the holiday. The kitchen was stocked with most everything we needed and the fireplace had enough wood for 3 nights. Our holiday was complete with several inches of snow. The cabin was clean, cozy and setup just right for everyone.
In the woods get away

It was good. I felt like the pictures make it look more remote than it really is, but it was very nice that it was close to a market and Hood recreation.
Family Vacation

Overall we loved the house, the location was great, very peaceful. It was the perfect layout for our multigenerational family of six plus our two dogs. We would give a higher rating except that there was a hole in the back door where the deadbolt lock was missing, and the couch in the great room was missing a leg.
A nice house in a great spot
Natalie E., Springfield, OR United States
We enjoyed ourselves quite a lot. The house is easy to find and off the beaten path a little bit but not super isolated. It is located in a neighborhood with many other houses but it is set up such that you don't really notice your neighbors. We could hear the river from the house and it was really well stocked with space, chairs, bed, kitchen supplies, etc. We used the grill but not the outdoor fire pit due to fire danger. Having some outdoor furniture in addition to the couple chairs along the house would have been nice. I would stay here again and highly recommend to anyone travelling with a group/family. We had 5 adults and it was very comfortable.
Great house for a family
Caitlin B., Brooklyn, NY United States
We had a wonderful experience overall. It was great for me, my husband and our 9-month old. Plenty of carpet for him to safely crawl around on and plenty of room for my nieces and nephew who live down the street to visit. My only complaint is the smell. While I adjusted to it quickly, it smells unmistakably like wet dog. All our belongings smelled like it as well. I truly believe that a deep carpet clean would help as the house is mostly carpet. Besides this, it's a lovely home, stocked with all the essentials. The bathtub on the first floor is dreamy and the home is in a quiet, serene location. The mgmt company was more than accommodating when we needed an early check-in and when we decided to extend our stay. Clean the carpets and you get five stars.
Clean and Spacious
Morgan M., Seattle, WA United States
The house was more residential than we expected as it was part of a small neighborhood in the woods. However there were perks in that there were two trails connected to the neighborhood that the family enjoyed. Everything felt incredibly clean and well-stocked. We used the indoor fireplace a few times and the extra deep tub in the downstairs bathroom. The river was great nearby although very strong and loud - so our hopes in letting our younger kids hang out there on their own didn't work out. We did have lots of great family time there though and loved falling asleep to the sound of it. The nearby towns had enough eating options for dinners the whole week. Koya Kitchen was a huge hit.
Family Reunion
Tayler M., Dallas, TX United States
My husbands family is from Bend and we flew in from Dallas, TX and enjoyed 4 days in the woods. The kids had fun and the adults enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and listening to music. Everything we needed was there and it only required a few trips to town to get extras. Highly recommend this place. It was very comfortable for 5 adults and a kid.
Wonderful home
Jason R., Portland, OR United States
The house was great, very clean and so many surprising extras like spare toothbrush, or toiletries incase you forgot something. Beds were comfy and the queen size bunk beds were a bonus!
Located in quiet neighborhood but only a short drive to stores and restaurants.
Lovely getaway
Leah H., Hillsboro, OR United States
We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean with lots of little extras. Kitchen had everything you need and more including a draw full of tea/coffee fixings. In the bathroom there was even a drawer with things like toothbrush/toothpaste incase you forgot yours, first aid kit, and hygiene products. We enjoyed fires in the fireplace every evening.
I found the king bed downstairs very comfortable. My family however said the mattress upstairs in the queen bedroom to be uncomfortable (really the only negative).
Glacier Court Holiday Stay
Sheryl R., Dillingham, AK United States
The house was clean and great for family and children. They loved the loft area. All was clean except for the top bedding in the downstairs bedroom. The wood for the fireplace was not good wood but we brought up starter wood to get it going. There should be more garbage cans and bags, dishwasher and dish soap. Everything else was great, plus the vacation rental agency was wonderful to work with. Thank you! Quyana!
The home was very nice and on a quiet street in the woods. Everything was clean and well-maintained with plenty of room for our family.
