Cozy and great location!!

Very cozy, comfortable, and wonderful location in Govy! We have spent years in Government Camp and this is a great cabin to rent!
Great location, great retro vibe!
Shauna B., Portland, OR United States
Such an adorable, retro A-frame that feels cozy but still has all the space, modern comforts and things you need! The location is super close to SkiBowl and Govy, yet still feels like a quiet mountain hideaway. Loved our stay.
Weekend getaway for relaxing and watching NFL playoffs
Recent Guest, Portland, OR United States
We loved the house itself, but extremely disappointed with the false advertising of "satellite/cable." Main reason for picking this particular cabin was to watch NFL playoff games and (Blazer game at night) and be in the snow. Satellite/Cable consists of Samsung free TV2U and NO network television at all. Very disappointed, but we made the best of it. The VRBO advertisement should definitely mention that it's not cable or satellite.

Property is cozy and was a good fit for our family. Location is great.
Excellent Location, Perfect Lodging
Paul L., Portland, OR United States
We rented the Alpine Hideaway for four days for Thanksgiving. Overall the experience was very positive. First, the location is great. You can walk to the main road (shops, bars, etc) and the place is literally next door to Ski Bowl East. A quick drive to Timberline and various Sno Parks. The home itself is roomy. We had six people and everyone had their own space. Lots of nice touches like having a snow shovel in the entry, games, all the cookware we'd need etc. The biggest differentiator was the rental company, specifically Pamela who was amazing on everything from booking, to key pickup. She even called on the day we were to leave to let us know there was an accident on 26 near Welches and we'd be diverted via a detour. That helped us be ready for a little longer of a trip home and was very much appreciated. Five stars all around!!
Great location with plenty of room

We had 2 families traveling together and this cute A frame as perfect. It had a washer and dryer in unit and with 2 full bathrooms and bedrooms it was perfect for our trip. The property was clean and well maintained. Also while the stove has a retro feel the oven is spotless and looks new.

Great cabin and awesome location.
Some feedback:
-The blower on the fireplace makes extremely loud noise and is annoying when trying to relax in the woods
-The shovel is broken
-The bbq works but flames were extremely low we couldn't cook on it.
-Receiving texts about parking was inconvenient when trying to 'get away.' The 2 car limit in the driveway and information on overflow parking should be conveyed way in advance, not just on the day of check in. Or on the listing.
Well provisioned cabin in a great location
Gerry M., Sherwood, OR United States
Spotlessly clean and well provisioned cabin within walking distance to Ski Bowl East and pubs and shops in Gov Camp.. minus one star for the fireplace. The fan is very loud and distracting.
Rodents
Recent Guest, Sandy Springs, GA United States
The property we stayed at was infested with large rodents. We woke up to the sounds of their nails scratching the wood in our room. Rodent poop in house. Called management and they removed one rodent, but there were clearly others because the next day there were chew marks on bags of our food in the kitchen. The house also smelled like pet urine so bad we had to leave early. The mattress was soiled with pet or rodent urine and caused our family to have health issues. The management company did very little to assist, telling us that it was a mountain property and that we should understand this is what "mountain living" is like" Imagine, if a hotel told you that line.. They were also unwilling to reimburse us and hung up on us when we called. I understand it's a pet friendly house and it's in the woods, but this was over the top.
Awesome cabin

Winter Retreat

The Alpine Hideaway was our family destination this December. Living close to the mountain made traveling there quick and gave us a place to gather and enjoy each others company. Snowy walks, puzzling, late night sledding, pool at Charlies and family time.
Great weekend getaway spot!
Recent Guest, Portland, OR United States
This place was great for a weekend getaway. Very close to everything, and lots of amenities. Previous reviews mentioned having trouble with the wifi, but we didn't have any problems :) Parking could be pretty limited, but we only had one car so we were fine.
Very nice!!!!!
Janet M., Lisbon, NH United States
This wonderful family cabin has a woodsy, quiet setting but it is an easy walk to the shops and restaurants of the village as well as the ski areas. The beds were very comfortable and the furnishings were lovely. The exposed wood on the walls/ceiling was beautiful. There is lots of room for family and friends.
Pretty Good
Jay E., Bakersfield, CA United States
The property was as described for the most part. There were just a few things I'd like to mention that I think I would have liked to know before staying here. First, the internet is worthless. It's there and you can connect but you aren't going to be able to do much. Even simple surfing for watching youtube is not realistic on this network. I know we are in the woods and want to be away from technology but the reality is that we live in 2017. I was away from my daughters for the trip and I wanted to FaceTime with them in the evening and I was unable to do so. Second, the beds were rather uncomfortable. Every one of us guest complained about it. We even switched beds since there were more beds than guests. For the price, I expected more comfortable beds. Also, there is a large building being built right next door with a lot of pounding early in the morning. Not really all that peaceful but the location is right in town with walking to everything.
Great Cabin

Get away from everything. Decorative and looking out the windows bring peace and beauty. Wifi not very good. Beds not very comfy but kitchen is fully stocked so we were cooking crazy and had so much fun! TV was great!! Enjoying skiing at ski bowl. Probably a new family tradition to stay here! Thank you!

A hard cabin to review...
Kevin M., Portland, OR United States
Make no mistakes, this cabin is in one of the best locations available for those who are visiting Mt Hood for winter sports! It is a very easy walk to Ski Bowl. You barely work up a sweat getting there.
"Downtown" Government Camp is an equally as easy stroll. Great for going to get groceries, going out for pizza, or picking up snow gear.
The cabin is a typical A frame with an addition that allows for two additional bedrooms. While the cabin states that it sleeps 14, I cannot imagine having 14 people in this cabin. While there are beds EVERYWHERE, there are only two bathrooms and not nearly enough seating, dishes, hot water or room for 14. I would say 6 - 8 MAX!
The floors are linoleum which adds a less than cozy feel to the cabin. They have area rugs about, but not nearly enough to warm up the place. As many have mentioned the WiFi is VERY SLOW, and the cable TV is poor, but who goes to the mountain to watch TV and surf the internet?
There is currently some construction taking place in the area that may or may not impact your ability to sleep in. It was hit and miss for us.
What makes me recommend this cabin and any other cabin managed by All Seasons is All Seasons itself. The owner and staff are top notch and will do EVERYTHING in their power to make your stay enjoyable.
If this cabin does not seem to fit your needs, please do yourself a favor and look at the other cabins All Seasons manages. You will not be sorry.
Relaxing Stay

Great property but the wifi barely works, not enough to steam and the TV only gets a few channels so bring games or DVD's.
Sledding fun
Recent Guest, West Linn, OR United States
Very clean and private. We felt like we were in a real hideaway! We would definitely stay here again! Plus it was dog friendly which was a real plus. Our two year old loved it too! She had lots of room to run around and we could take her right out the front door for some snow fun. It snowed too the whole time which was so great. Thanks so much for a nice stay. ??

It was pretty nice to stay there except the fire place wouldn't shut off when we got there and we had to turn the breaker on and off to get it to stop. Then it wouldn't turn on again. Also the wifi didn't work the whole weekend no matter what we tried.
Enjoyed our family weekend very much!
Recent Guest, Portland, OR United States
Cosy cabin. Perfect for a large group of people.
Downstairs - very comfortable living room, kitchen has everything you need. A master bedroom with king size bed and two banks.
Upstairs lots and lots of beds.
Cabin is a little rustic, defiantly not luxurious, a little outdated but clean and linins on beds and bed covers seem old (clean but used for many years.) same with kitchen. Cabin has a small deck, but other then that, no yard space at all.
Cabin is walking distance from cute little village :)
All I know how to good stay. The price was right for what we got.
Great Little Cabin
Michael H., Portland, OR United States
We rented the cabin for a weekend work retreat. We managed to fit 14 people and gear in comfortably. Overall the experience was great, the cabin was cozy and comfortable. Very close in to Government Camp and Ski Bowl. Beds were a little hard and there was a lack of lighting upstairs, but all in all a great experience. Would definitely come back again.
Perfect Gov Camp location

We recently spent the weekend at Alpine Glacier and couldn't have been happier. The cabin was perfect for two couples but could have slept many more. The cabin was very clean and had everything you could need for a long weekend. Perfect jumping off spot for winter and summer activities!! Thank you :)

Cozy cabin in a great location

The cabin was clean and organized and well stocked. We had a comfortable stay and loved that town was just a block away. Would stay here again, sleeps quite a few people. Didn't feel cramped or crowded. Loved that it was tucked away off the street.

Cute little cabin in great location
Laurel S., Tualatin, OR United States
The cabin is adorable. Lots of mountain charm. My
Husband, two small kids and our dogs spent the weekend. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need. The location is perfect in the heart of goverment camp walking distance to ski bowl, bars, restaurants, mini markets and hiking trails. The cabin is not secluded and does not have a yard but it's the trade off to being near everything in town. The cabin has a nice little balcony and a gas fire place. It has beds for a small army. I counted room for 18. It was perfect for our family. My boys had the whole upstairs to play in. My family and I had a great time!

WONDERFUL GETAWAY
Teryl C., Portland, OR United States
My family stayed at the Alpine Hideaway for 4 nights and it was hard to leave! The A-frame is warm and inviting, with everything you need to relax and enjoy Mt Hood. It sleeps more than a dozen people easily, although there were only 5 of us. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding. The view out the back deck is beautiful, and you feel secluded although you are 3 blocks from downtown and 3 blocks from part of the adventure park. My teenagers and my elderly parents all loved the place. We can't wait to return for another stay!
Great location right outside the ski bowl and a really short walk to government camp. The house was tucked away even though it was behind condos. In back of the house is a wooded area that is stunning in the snow. My boys and puppy loved chasing each other through the woods and snow. I thought the house had a great layout for two families. The entrance way was large and had space to get the snow gear off and store it. I loved the feel and look of the house, simple and clean with big comfy couches and warm blankets. I would definitely rent here again. The management company was wonderful to work with as well. Responsive and personable. We had a great time!
