  • Hiking: Over 1,000 miles of trails, all different levels of difficulty
  • Fish the Salmon and Sandy Rivers, and a variety of lakes and streams
  • Skiing and Snowboarding: Mt Hood is home to the only year round skiing in the country
  • Full Moon Kayaking: It doesn't get anymore romantic than this
  • Ride the Mt Hood Chairlift! Even if you don't ski, the views are amazing.
  • Golfing: The Resort on the Mountain has 27 holes, play nine or eighteen.
  • Mountain Biking: bring your own or rent one here.
  • Climb Mt Hood! For those who really want to stand on the summit
  • Bird Watching: Mt. Hood holds some of the best variety for birdwatchers, so grab those binoculars and head for the hills!
  • Explore a Forest Park: Wildwood Recreation Site is 550 acres of natural streams and wetlands ecosystems alongh interpretive trails and boardwalks. There is even a unique underwater fish viewing chamber. Picnic in a private, individual setting with stone grills, Pavillions are also available, with cooking facilities and fireplaces. Cool your feet, go for a swim at the Salmon River Beach.
