Harts Creekside in Rhododendron is a romantic and beautifully appointed cabin, the quintessential mountain retreat! With its tall peaked ceiling and liberal use of knotty pine, brick and stone, it has the essence of a lodge within its almost 1,100 sq. foot size. It is located on the historic Barlow Trail and is waterfront to serene Hackett Creek.
This charming woodland style vacation cabin was originally built in 1925 as a one-room getaway and was remodeled and upgraded in 1950 and again in the year 2000. Harts Creekside sits on 1/3 of an acre with old growth trees, no back neighbors and has plenty of room for parking. This impeccably clean home has 2 bedrooms each with a gorgeous forest view and soothing sounds of the creek below. It also has a sleeping loft which children adore, and all together it will sleep 8 comfortably. There is 1 full bath and a new washer & dryer. The fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops and a corner bench nook area for dining.
The cozy living room has windows looking out on the forest, plenty of comfortable sofas and a brick gas fireplace. The soft green upholstery, drapes and the natural pine create a delightfully romantic atmosphere. It is equipped with Cable TV, DVD, VCR and CD players. French doors open to a large deck overlooking Hackett Creek which has a new gas barbeque grill and a picnic table for outdoor dining with the sounds of the creek below. You will enjoy landscape lighting of the surrounding cedar trees as you sit in the 72-jet hot tub overlooking the creek. If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy a romantic weekend in a wooded setting close to all the activities available in the Mt. Hood area, Harts Creekside is a wonderful place to stay.
